MEET YOUR COACHES
Liz Mazik, NBC-HWC

As Vice President of Healthspan Services, Liz leads the strategy, development, and delivery of personalized wellness and longevity programs across a national network of physicians and members.
With nearly two decades of experience in preventive health, performance, and clinical wellness, Liz brings a unique blend of executive leadership and hands-on expertise. Her background includes serving as an exercise physiologist administering comprehensive executive physicals—spanning advanced diagnostics such as cardiovascular stress testing, metabolic assessments, body composition analysis, and biomarker-driven evaluations—as well as years of experience in personal training and performance coaching. She has worked with a diverse range of individuals, from professional athletes, including golfers, to clients managing chronic conditions such as metabolic syndrome, giving her a broad, practical understanding of health across the full spectrum of care.
At CCPHP, Liz oversees the Personalized Longevity Program (PLP), guiding its evolution into a scalable, physician-integrated model that combines clinical insight with lifestyle medicine. She leads a multidisciplinary team of health coaches and exercise physiologists, fosters strategic partnerships, and works closely with physicians on individualized care plans. Her work emphasizes translating complex health data into actionable, sustainable behaviors that drive long-term outcomes.
Liz holds a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and is a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), an American College of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer, and a NASM Certified Nutrition Coach. She also holds additional certifications in lifestyle and performance coaching, reflecting her commitment to evidence-based, whole-person care.
Known for her direct, practical approach, Liz is passionate about helping individuals optimize their health without unnecessary restriction—empowering them to feel, function, and perform at their best at every stage of life.
Outside of work, Liz enjoys playing beach volleyball, hiking, listening to music, and surfing on the Great Lakes. She is also actively involved in the AVP beach volleyball association.
Suzanne Wood, NBC-HWC

Suzy Wood is a National Board Certified-Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) and a Menopause Transformation Coach. She is a native New Yorker but spent many years living and raising her family in London. She also lived in Tokyo and Rio de Janeiro. While abroad, she developed a love for different cultures, foods, and lifestyles which she incorporates into her coaching practice.
After a long career in high tech marketing and public relations, Suzy solidified her love for nutrition and healthy living by attending the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She launched her company, True Wellness Within, where she helps men and women with their weight loss goals, making new healthier habits, reducing stress, improving sleep, and empowering everyone to find their true wellness within. She has extensive experience helping people sustainably lose weight while on GLP-1 medications. When she’s not deconstructing recipes in her kitchen to make them healthier, you’ll find Suzy on a hike, in the garden, or doing yoga.
Suzy earned a Bachelor's degree from Brandeis University where she studied Economics and Legal Studies.
Hallie Palen, NBC-HWC

Hallie Palen is a National Board Certified-Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) with a strong background in personalized, holistic care in both clinical and coaching environments. She has a BS in Communication and Mass Media Studies from New York University and is currently continuing her education and training towards a certification in Functional Diagnostic Nutrition. Hallie is a native New Yorker who now resides in Connecticut with her husband, three children and two dogs.
After spending time in both nonprofit and corporate roles, Hallie pursued her lifelong passion for nutrition and overall health. She attended the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and began coaching clients privately through her whole-person, bio-individual approach towards health and wellness. She also counseled patients at a medical weight-loss practice where she navigated the integration of weight-loss pharmaceuticals with proper nutrition and lifestyle adjustments. Hallie strongly believes that everything in the human body is connected and we must address all healing opportunities to achieve optimum function.
When she’s not working or studying, you will find Hallie enjoying the outdoors whether it be walking her dogs, golfing or enjoying time on the water with family and friends
Ginna Johnson, NBC-HWC

Ginna Johnson is a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach and a National Board Certified-Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC). After years of helping others heal and grow from emotional difficulties, Ginna began focusing on how to support others in making changes in their lives to improve their overall well-being.
She began her journey to learn as much as she could about the power we have as individuals to influence and impact our health and lives in all areas, positively and negatively. She is passionate about supporting people in taking control of their health and making sustainable lifestyle changes.
Ginna graduated with a BA in Psychology from the University Of Texas at Austin and an M.Ed. in Counseling from the University of North Texas. She was licensed by the state of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor and obtained her Supervisor status in 2013. She graduated as a FMCHC from the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy. Ginna was a dancer and taught dance in her youth and was a Certified Personal Trainer. She continues to enjoy being active with cycling, lifting weights and recently, gardening.
